What is Giving to Grow?
Giving to Grow is Metro State University’s day of giving: a special fundraising initiative that brings our community together to support students and invest in their success.
When is Giving to Grow?
Giving to Grow takes place on March 26, 2026. Gifts made during this time help us unlock matching funds and reach our campaign goals.
Who can participate?
Anyone can give! Alumni, faculty, staff, students, families, and friends of Metro State are welcome to participate. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
Why does Giving to Grow matter?
This day is about expanding opportunity. Support from Giving to Grow helps remove financial barriers, supports student achievement, and strengthens programs that empower our diverse student body.
What are we raising money for?
This year, Giving to Grow supports three priority areas:
• Scholarships to help students stay enrolled and graduate
• The SAFE Fund to provide emergency assistance when students face unexpected hardships
• Internship stipends so students can pursue unpaid career-building opportunities
Where do I give?
Visit givingtogrow.metrostate.edu and scroll down to view the available funds, or choose from the following: Scholarships, SAFE Fund, Internship Stipends, and if you’re not sure where to give, you can give to the Metro Fund.
The process is quick, secure, and takes just a few minutes.
Can I give to a different fund or program?
Yes! Donors are always welcome to support any Metro State fund they care about. However, gifts to funds outside the three Giving to Grow priorities are not eligible for matches or challenge funds.
How can I help besides donating?
You can amplify your impact by sharing Giving to Grow with your network, encouraging others to give, and helping spread the word on social media. Click the Ambassador Toolkit tab to learn more!
Matching Gifts
It’s About Showing Up
Giving to Grow is powered by participation. As our donor count grows, so does the impact! Reaching 50, 100, and 150 donors unlocks special matching gifts that expand support for Metro State students. Your gift signals belief in our students and helps unlock even more resources for them to succeed.
